286. Penthouses and Residences at the Shangri-La

chandeliers Shangri-La
Shangri-La Toronto dining room
Here's most of the photos I took when I went to check out my friend's condo at the Shangri-La recently. We went to look at all the penthouses then explored the building a bit. I've said this a million times already but I want to live there so badly!! Such a beautiful dining room! I love the chandeliers

Bosk at Shangri-La
Forgot the name of the drink..it's some champagne cocktail. Was delicious!

This is called the Jewellery Box suite if I remember correctly. There's only one in the building. The whole unit sort of extends out from the building in the shape of a cube (I'm so bad with descriptions). It's mostly glass/windows all around. After you enter the front doors it's an entire 2-story wall of glass..

Then we went to the penthouses at the very top; 66th floor! Huge patios all around. As you can see they're still all under construction. Besides the CN Tower, I don't think I've ever been so high above the city before. The view is amazing up there!!

Shangri-La rooftop
Then we were brought to the actual rooftop! There's a few panels of glass with the rest being open-edge..a little bit scary but so cool. Didn't want to get too close to the edge as I'd probably fly off with a strong gust of wind.

Momofuku Toronto
After the impressive tour (which made us feel like peasants with our non-penthouse-less-impressive condo units) we went exploring some more. This is a patio on their 3rd (?) floor. Looking to Momofuku restaurant.

Hope you enjoyed this little photo-tour! I'll post the rest in another post. If you want to see more luxury penthouses, check out the post I made last year of the Ritz-Carlton penthouses ! From one of the photos there you can see the Shangri-La still under construction ;] Time to start saving up......

  3. This place is just gorg gorg gorg UGH smack me! Lol Let me come back down to reality to my four wall bedroom with one window LOL Oh wells! That is one hot place though and omg a hammam spa?! Sign me up! That's one of my top things to do when I go to Turkey (someday....) and I remembered that it'd be so nice to do it for Valentines day with my bf but guess what? The only place that does it in Vancity charges 100$ for a 15min service and close to 300$ for a 90min one!!! WTH?! I rather just save the money and actual go get a real one done in Turkey -.- Or maybe I'm just cheap/never been to a real spa so am new to these prices. Guess I'll be buying some apricot scrub and do it un-romantically by myself in my bathroom hahahaha

I really enjoy eating by myself too and probably won't even mind going to a fancy place by myself but I probably won't cause I'm too lazy LOL Having a friend gives me a push =P Hope you're doing well and omg I think this is the first time I've seen your face, referring to your new dp! You're so pretty!!!!

    1. the penthouse is ~$10 million..regular ones start around $1 million I think. Toronto real estate is NOTHING compared to HK though!! especially ones on the Peak.
my friend from London said Toronto is "cheap as peanuts" compared to those other cities lol

we should! hahah I'll let you know when I visit NYC again (if you're not too busy travelling elsewhere!)
