831. Rovinj Part 2 | A Colourful Weekend Staycation

I took hundreds of photos during our few days in Rovinj but I had to painstakingly narrow it down to just enough photos for a 2-part series. It was so beautiful at every corner that I couldn't stop. Here are some drone shots to show the unique layout of this charming town. I think it looks bigger from above than it really is. Well it probably takes about 30 minutes to walk all around (if you are not stopping for photos of course). I think we walked all over a few times but there's probably some hidden turns we didn't get to explore.

Tomorrow we are heading to Dubrovnik and Split for a few days, that's why I wanted to wrap up this short Rovinj series. I guess the remainder of my Thailand posts will have to keep waiting lol.

This looks good but it actually tasted horrible lol. It's always worth quickly Googling a restaurant to see their reviews/rating before deciding to go and eat there. For example this restaurant was rated a 2.8/5 which we found out after sitting down for a table. Most of the restaurants around here are good/rated high though so we didn't realize we would be so unlucky to choose the worst rated one. But even with bad food, this place was always full of people (I guess meaning no motivation to improve). The seafood in my seafood pasta was questionable..and the sauce was really watery. Like if you took a can of pasta sauce, mixed it with a lot of water to make it go a longer way.

I really love all the little alleyways here with cozy restaurants around every corner. Such a nice atmosphere in the evenings.
