Watching The Nutcracker! 3rd year in a row (& counting) we've seen this..

My festive Christmas outfit! Matches the Williams Sonoma bag. It was my favourite place this year for Christmas gifts and food. I kept going back there for more stuff, including:

An early new year's dinner with my mom a couple nights ago. We ate at a restaurant called Day and Night. It's really good. We went there as well last year for Christmas dinner. It was a 5-course meal. I forgot to take a photo of the soup but I really loved it. It was a lobster bisque. Above is the caesar salad.

The butterfly garlic shrimp is so delicious..it's my favourite.

I got the salmon as the main course.

Dessert. I didn't really like it but they didn't have any other options for dessert.

Nadege is my other favourite shop this Christmas season. I bought a lot of their Christmas chocolate there as gifts and even some for myself. Most of their things look too good to eat. We got this large praline cake:

397. Recent Life

Just purchased a shiny new "Long Shawl Blazer" by Smythe last week..I love it! I wish the weather wasn't so unbearably hot every day so I could wear it more often.

Also tried on this white blouse (from Smythe's pre-fall 2014 collection). Even the smallest size seemed way too big on me..it is really beautiful though. I might end up going back to get it as well. & on the right is Hennessy sleeping..

Yesterday we visited Niagara Falls/Fallsview Casino. We had lunch at the Grand Buffet..here's the view.

It was way too hot and humid so I didn't last long outside. Went for a quick walk before I headed back to the casino lounge to watch the Germany - Algeria game. I'm supporting Germany this year. Such a close match..I was so relieved when they won in OT!

I've decided to sell some of my old designer items I never use anymore, starting with this Tiffany & Co Atlas necklace. I got it years ago and barely wore it. 242. Fallsview

All the major projects in my classes have been due in the past couple weeks, as well as the next two weeks..so I've been extremely busy with them. Last night I stayed up until 5am working on my essay for WWII. It's actually my favourite class (since I'm sick of all the Fashion courses I have to take/I LOVE history..). The topic I did was the Battle of Stalingrad. I think it was the only essay I actually enjoyed writing in the past few years. Now I have the strongest urge to visit the city (now Volgograd) and all the other historical sites related to the war. Maybe this summer..

Most amazing apple pie I ever had!! I tried apple pie in many restaurants but this was the best..

Played a bit of Blackjack that day. I know it's based mostly on luck but also a bit of strategy & I think I'm getting better at it.

Went to another Leafs game on Tuesday again. I don't remember how much we lost by but it was a shutout.

HUGE banana sundae. It was soooo good. I shared it with my friend..think I'll go back sometime, just for this.

Foggy day by the harbour..love that the weather has been getting warmer lately so I can start going there more often again.

223. Johnny, la gente esta muy loca

This past week had been so busy for me - both with homework and going out. I'm so happy that my final project is handed in & school is over for the semester!! But I also suddenly realized that it's already mid-December =\ Time goes by so fast these days. It's been a pretty good week..here's some photos of what happened:

There's a company holiday party literally every single night in my ballroom..one of my favourite things about this month. I went to the one last Friday - Bereskin & Parr law firm.

Then Pravda for Friday & also Saturday night (where else?).

Yes, back to Pravda last night/Tuesday night. Had to go out to celebrate (somewhat) for handing in the final project of the semester!

Fallsview on Saturday! For those who don't know..it's a big casino beside Niagara Falls. This was the first time I been to this casino actually. I signed up for their membership card and think I'll be coming back quite often from now on lol. I know it's the start of a dangerous addiction..
