579. Hong Kong | Big Buddha

The Big Buddha in Hong Kong is a typical tourist attraction. Most of my family members who have lived in Hong Kong all their lives have never visited because they see it as just for tourists. & on my numerous trips to Hong Kong in the past..we also never went here. But this time it was on my list of places to see. So on one of our final days in Hong Kong, we went. I remember it being an insanely hot and humid day, but it was nice and sunny and I had a wonderful time.

The best photos are the ones when you don't know it's being taken. My mom took this shot of me which I didn't know until later. I really love it.






There were a lot of cows roaming around the area.




Starting the long climb up. It looks like I have short hair here lol.


So it was actually really hot that day. At the top there was a little shop selling popsicles and pretty much everyone went to buy one immediately when they got to the top. I did as well of course.

448. Recent Life

I've been so busy these days with work and life in general (trying to enjoy the last of summer before it gets cold again..) that I haven't had the time to update my blog for weeks! Here is a quick "recent life" post.


A long overdue purchase...


The Vernis Sarah wallet in Turquoise! I LOVE this colour. I was thinking of getting a pink colour at first (the rose litchi or rose ballerine) but I'm glad I went with this. I really want another Alma bag now though..but I probably won't be making another large material purchase anytime soon.

443. Recent Life

My mom and I went to St. Lawrence Market yesterday afternoon. I live quite closeby and come here a lot. We ate at Buster's Sea Cove at the back. I have been to the market so many times but never eaten there before - I actually didn't know it existed until yesterday (since I normally don't go to that part of the market). They serve all types of seafood. It's sooo delicious! I got calamari (below) and my mom got a seafood orzo which was amazing. I definitely want to go back for it again.





I went to the airport last week & took the opportunity to try out the new Union Pearson Express trains. I think they just started operating a few weeks ago. It was quite a comfortable ride. Almost empty when I was on. It really gets from Union to Pearson in 25 minutes flat!





My new dress!! It's from the Alexander Wang Spring 2015 collection. I tried this on at the store but they only had a Small size which was way too big on me. Luckily I found an X-Small online at Saks & bought it..& it arrived today!! It's still a bit big on me but I really love it.

I also tried this fuschia dress by Maje. I really want it as well but the smallest size (that they make) is still big :( The area around the hips is really loose. It's so hard for me to find perfectly fitted dresses! That's why I really love Clover Canyon and AQAQ as their sizes are perfect for me..but unfortunately I don't like anything from their new collections.
