Cabbing around Paris in the rain. I was by the Eiffel Tower when it started raining, so I got in a cab to stay dry. I had the driver drive all around the city so at least I was able to do a bit of sightseeing as well. Paris is so beautiful in the rain (as it is in any type of weather!). Then I got out wherever the rain stopped. At that moment I suddenly realized how much of a high-maintenance traveller I am. Or just how much I hate being out in the rain.
I have exactly ten more blog posts to make from my Europe trip last year, and I need to post them all within the next month. Guess why..
Smallest breakfast ever. I was in such a rush to catch the train to London that morning..I ended up missing it in the end and needed to reschedule for the next one =\ That was the third train/flight I missed on that trip because I slept in!
I am a bit late but Merry Christmas everyone!! I hope you all had a wonderful time with your family and friends and got everything you wished for :) I spent the past couple days with my family & friends and got something I've always wanted. Here are photos of (most of) my Christmas:
After dinner, I went for a delicious Winter Mojito with a few friends at The Keg (aka, the only other restaurant/bar open on Christmas Eve). The bartender gave us free shots..I forgot what it was but I think it was rum and butterscotch liqueur..tasted so Christmas-sy! But probably not a good idea to have all that because I started feeling just a little tipsy which I should not have been for where we headed next...
So after that we went to Christmas Eve mass at church. I actually have not been to church in over a decade. It was nice though, I'm glad I decided to go that night. Gordon Lightfoot was there to perform/sing a song. Apparently he goes there every year for Christmas Eve.
Afterwards, we raced back to The Keg for a final nightcap before my friend dropped me off back home and I opened my present...
The Burberry Mid-Length Cotton Gabardine Trench Coat. If you know me, you'll know I am obsessed with trench coats (mostly on men) but I've always wanted my own. I'm so glad I finally got one! & the more I look at it the more I love the dark blue one as well..ah I want that one as well now..!!! I love this colour I got but I am also so paranoid I'll get it dirty.
The trench coat matches my Azur Keepall quite well, doesn't it?
5 MORE DAYS UNTIL NYC!! SO EXCITEDDDDD. Now off to finish my movie marathon & wake up early for Boxing Day sales. Let's see if I come home with another trench coat. I actually still have to finish Christmas (gift) shopping.
This post is WAY overdue. A few months ago (October), the new Four Seasons hotel opened here in Toronto. My friend & I dropped by that week on a rainy Sunday night to try dbar, by the famous chef Daniel Boulud.
