I wonder how long I'll be able to keep up with these daily blog posts. Here's some more photos of New York! Starting with Top of the Standard on my last night there.

337. NYC - June 2013 | Favourites

Just got back yesterday from NYC..miss it a lot! The above is my favourite photo & favourite moment of the whole trip.

It seems my blog has officially turned into a travel blog - particularly for New York. I just scrolled through the past few pages and it's filled with posts from my previous times there. Unsurprisingly I wasn't able to do live-blogging once again.
I arrived last Thursday afternoon. First we took a long walk around Brooklyn/Brooklyn Bridge/Brooklyn Bridge Park. The rain started that evening and continued on until Friday. On Friday, in the middle of a tropical storm, we went to The Met. It was my first time there..I loved it! Saturday the rain stopped so we took a roadtrip to the Catskill Mountains, where I was able to cross of one thing on my list of things to do before I die ("lie under the stars" - I know this could've been done anywhere but I was waiting for the perfect place). The stars are amazing up there!! Don't have any photos unfortunately - pretty sure the view would've been impossible to capture. Sunday we strolled around Battery Park, had dinner then drinks at Top of the Standard (my favourite spot). My flight home was Monday afternoon. There were heavy rains so my original flight got cancelled & I got bumped to the next flight. Stressful day but made it home. Not liking being back home now though..anyways, here is a photo summary of the trip:

View from the plane + the familiar wait for a cab at LGA.

One thing I love about NYC is that there's sooo many parks and nice areas to walk around. This is Brooklyn Bridge Park. Perfect view of the skyline.

Awesome candy shop! Got a huge bag of gummy candy that lasted me all weekend.

Inside the Met on a rainy day. Great collection of art and I also really liked the interiors/building itself.

Wonderful dinner that evening at La Grenouille

We drove around Woodstock in the Catskills, & I had the most delicious pancakes for breakfast

Tiffany & Co on Wall Street

My favourite hotel in NY!

Cartier windows + my favourite photo once again.

312. NYC Part 5 | Russian Tea Room

NYC Madison Avenue
As many of you probably know, Paris is my most favourite city in the world. I most recently went this past June, which feels like forever ago..and I miss it terribly. To the point that whenever I see photos of it, it makes me sad that I'm not there right now. & Whenever I listen to Hotel Costes I think of aimlessly strolling around the city to Summer in Paris..or sitting in front of the Eiffel Tower every night with nutella crepes. I NEED TO GO BACK!!! Ok I should stop talking about Paris when this post is actually about New York lol. But that's just what I've been thinking about this past week..it relates to everything else that's been on my mind lately but I'll save that for another post.

Right now when I'm looking through these photos of NYC, I get a similar sort of feeling. Can't say I love that city even half as much as Paris, but I do wish I could rewind time (exactly a month ago today) to when I was there..this was a fun night:

Majestic Theatre Broadway NYC Phantom of the Opera
It was New Year's Day/January 1st. Clark Kent* & I went to watch Phantom of the Opera at the Majestic Theatre. The show was at 7pm and we barely made it there after getting out of bed that morning (umm..I mean evening) It was the day after New Year's Eve after all, plus I was running on a mere 2 hours of sleep for the past 48 hours thanks to my early flight! The show was beautiful, I would definitely go again..

Russian Tea Room New York
After that, we went to the Russian Team Room for 10pm post-theatre dinner..aka our first meal of the day. This place was near the top of my list (wanted to visit for years actually) and I just had to go. This is my favourite dinner from that trip! The food wasn't as amazing as I expected but it was such a funny evening.

Dessert: Czar's Gold and Caviar Parfait - Nougat cream, toasted almonds, chocolate sauce and 24-karat edible gold! SO GOOD..
