335. Alexandria, Georgetown, DC

This will be the last post from my April NYC & DC trip, as it's only 2 more days until I'm in New York again!! It's starting to feel like my second home. I'm extremely excited..even more than I was the previous couple times I went this year. The one thing I'm hoping for is for the weather forecast to be wrong (the forecast is almost always wrong and for once I'll be happy for it to be) as it's saying it'll rain this weekend. We are planning to go to a beach at Long Island and also the Catskills. I wanted to go to the Hamptons at first (instead of Catskills) but now I'd rather be up in the mountains sleeping under the stars..
I'm going to make another post on Thursday with more detailed plans!

Back to the April trip..these are photos from our roadtrip to Washington DC & Alexandria (Virginia). In Alexandria we stayed at Hotel Monaco, a colourful Kimpton boutique hotel.







Alexandria is an old town with cobblestone streets and lots of old-fashioned shops and restaurants. Pop's Old Fashioned Ice Cream has some of the best ice cream I've ever eaten.

324. Washington DC | National Mall

Here's some more photos from my trip. All from the National Mall in Washington DC, which is the park that all the monuments, museums, etc are located. The last time I was here I was only 7 years old & don't remember a thing.
We spent a day here and unfortunately didn't have enough time (& energy) to see even half of all there was to see. Hopefully I'll be back someday! We were there for the Cherry Blossom Festival. Thanks to the cold weather they haven't fully blossomed yet but still very pretty.

323. NYC + DC | Favourite Photos & Moments

I'm back from an amazing several days in New York & Washington DC. I booked the trip a bit over a month and a half ago and after planning/looking forward to it for so long it's already over. I wish I could rewind time to a week ago today when I was frantically doing my last minute packing. So sad to be back..now I need something else to look forward to. Here's a quick post to sum up the trip - some of my favourite photos and favourite moments. (Though the photo above was my least favourite moment..having to come back home on my 6:30am flight. At least I got to see the beautiful sunrise) btw, please ignore all the different shapes and sizes of my photos..it's a mixture taken from my phone, camera, Instagram..

Every time I go on a trip there's always one random unexpected moment that I love the most/is the most special and memorable for reasons I can't explain. This time it was waiting at Grand Central Station overlooking the rush hour crowd.




Got a new Clover Canyon dress! That's the only "shopping" I did. Will post more pics after I pick it up from the tailor. Also a lottttt more travel pics soon..
