So I didn't really do much for PDAC this year. I didn't think I was going to do anything for it actually..the most fun I ever had was the first couple years I ever went. The first year, we randomly stumbled into the parties at Royal York unsure of what it was. We pretended we were also in the mining industry when we met some UBC (?) students. We said we used root canal drills at our mining company. Then we met a lot of acquaintances who I now end up seeing (every year for the past 7 years) during those few days of PDAC. It's weird how I have been going for so long and I'm not even in the industry.

My friend invited me to this party on the first night at the Ripley's Aquarium. I think this one was put on by Silver Wheaton. At PDAC, all the major companies host parties everywhere around the city where all it's all open bar/food. We'd go to wherever we get invites to then end up at the Royal York "suite parties". This year I only went for like an hour or two though.

These are the nights that never die.

I am currently obsessed with this song. Really obsessed. Since last night, I've been listening to it non-stop (not exaggerating - I have it on repeat for the past hours and yesterday I listened to it 924789248932 times up until 5am). I know it's not a new song but I actually just discovered it a couple weeks ago (from a random Youtube mix) but last night I started listening to the lyrics and watched the video..it's really inspiring and reflects the way I am feeling towards life right now. So I started to love the song even more..and especially since it's Avicii as I love Avicii. I guess I am still young but I don't feel so young anymore. I feel like I need to be doing more with my life while I still have the chance.

At the moment I'm also obsessed with: Honeycrisp Apples & Chanel makeup.

419. Recent Life

This sums up the weather for the past week. Lots of snow and freezing temperatures..-30C most days. :(




One of the companies I work for shoots Google Business View (in other words, Google Street View for interiors) for businesses, so I'm always discovering new places and restaurants especially. The first photos above are from Kintori Yakitori..a Japanese Izakaya style place where most of their menu items are served on skewers. In the last photo is a black sesame pudding dessert from Kinton (known for their ramen noodles)..I totally forgot to take photos of the food. It was actually my first time ever eating ramen at a restaurant. It was so good. They're both our clients which I discovered a couple months ago and had been wanting to try out.


My favourite drink! I usually never buy drinks for home..I only drink water or tea but I love these.
