335. Alexandria, Georgetown, DC

Above: at Dean & Deluca.

This will be the last post from my April NYC & DC trip, as it's only 2 more days until I'm in New York again!! It's starting to feel like my second home. I'm extremely excited..even more than I was the previous couple times I went this year. The one thing I'm hoping for is for the weather forecast to be wrong (the forecast is almost always wrong and for once I'll be happy for it to be) as it's saying it'll rain this weekend. We are planning to go to a beach at Long Island and also the Catskills. I wanted to go to the Hamptons at first (instead of Catskills) but now I'd rather be up in the mountains sleeping under the stars..
I'm going to make another post on Thursday with more detailed plans!

Back to the April trip..these are photos from our roadtrip to Washington DC & Alexandria (Virginia). In Alexandria we stayed at Hotel Monaco, a colourful Kimpton boutique hotel.

Alexandria is an old town with cobblestone streets and lots of old-fashioned shops and restaurants. Pop's Old Fashioned Ice Cream has some of the best ice cream I've ever eaten.

These photos are from Georgetown, another historic town:

  2. Georgetown is my favourite City in D.C. Very quant and has very nice cafes. The piggies are so cute and looks delicious.

  7. I really like the design of the boutique hotel! The buttons on those pillows are adorable and also the details on those marzipan pigs are incredible! Though I'm not a huge fan of the taste myself lol

P.S I'm not sure if I said this already but I hope the weather is gorgeous when you're in NYC this time!
