621. Blogmas Day 18 & 19 | Gingerbread Train

I'm starting to get behind on my Blogmas!! Just a week left though. But I've been enjoying the more frequent updates. Maybe I will continue to do so even after Christmas. This week has been/will be pretty eventful..I am looking forward to it being over though because I am looking forward to a few things but also because of a few things I want to have over with lol.

We made this gingerbread train last night. It was pretty fun. I've never done one before or even a gingerbread house (except when I was really young in school).






Dinner at Fune last night. I used to come here (& blog about it!) all the time..

616. Blogmas Day 9 & 10 | Make my wish come true...

My weekend was not very eventful at all. Yesterday I went out on an attempt to find my Christmas and NYE outfits, and to start my Christmas shopping. I failed on both. The highlight of my day was probably being given this toasted marshmallow. Which, now that I think about it, was also my lunch.




Tonight, my friend and I went to a hummus restaurant "pop-up" that her friend invited us to. We ordered enough hummus to last us for days. I must say it was the best hummus I have ever had!! It was a fun night and good to get away from our usual financial district vicinity hahah

542. Recent Life | Saks Food Hall

Taking a quick break from all my vacation posts..I still have a lot of those to go through (obviously), but I'll also post occasionally about life back in Toronto. Yesterday I went with my mom and sister to the Eaton Centre which is already all decked out in Christmas decorations. We first went to Saks Fifth Avenue and saw that their new food hall is finally open!! I had been imagining a food hall like Harrods in London (my absolute favourite) but ours is a lot smaller and less ornate, but I still really like it. I'm so happy they finally opened and there's a nice selection of quality food. I live quite close so I'll be going there a lot! I actually went back there again today to get my dinner.






There are sooo many Christmas things that I want to get..but I'll wait until December.


A couple nights ago was the annual Christmas lighting ceremony/Starlight fundraiser at Brookfield Place! I've gone every year for the past several years (I live a few minutes walk away so I just drop by mostly for the food & drink lol..but I donate as well!). It's an event to raise money for the Starlight Children's Foundation with auctions, acrobatic performances, free food & drink, etc. It's also the night when they turn on the Christmas lights for the first time inside Allen Lambert Galleria.


Opening my mailbox for the first time after a long vacation is always a stressful moment. It was stuffed to the brim this time!! ALL these magazines were in there, plus a stack of mail. I'm sure the postman will be happy when he sees its finally been emptied. I subscribe to a lot of different magazines..& I actually read all of them cover to cover. Now I have a lot to catch up on. There was: Bloomberg Businessweek (3 total - it's a weekly publication), & 1 each of Fortune, Forbes, Travel + Leisure, National Geographic Traveler, Lonely Planet, Conde Nast Traveler, & Insight: The Art of Living by Sothebys. So I need to catch up on them all now before the next issues arrive...

Here are my new shoes from Japan!! I talked about buying them on a previous post if you remember. I really love them! Had been wearing them almost non-stop since I got back. They're actually the only flat shoes I own and wear on a regular basis..I usually only wear flat shoes when I travel. & even then, only to certain locations. I think my style is slowly changing..?

416. Spy vs. Spy

I just wanted to make a very quick post to say that I'm still alive! I have been so busy lately with no time to blog. It has almost been a month since my last post! The photo above is what I got my dad for Christmas - Spy vs. Spy figurines (from MAD Magazine). It was one of his favourite comics when he was younger.

410. Recent Life

I'm trying to update my blog more frequently again, so I'll most likely be posting shorter updates rather than saving up all my photos for a big post. And I'll start taking more pictures again. So this is my new dress from AQAQ (one of my favourite brands at the moment!). It is a different style but it's pretty similar to this black one I have from them. I love them both so much! I need more occasions to wear them to though. I also realized how much I've been spending on clothes, food and everything in general these days so I need to stop and save up for a bit. Well, maybe after I get my two upcoming purchases (which I probably shouldn't reveal yet because if I do, I feel like I'd have to buy them lol. I'm still trying to talk myself out of buying them. Or at least delay it.)

I really want to go on a big vacation again this Spring so I have to save. I was supposed to go to Asia with my mom this November but plans fell through..so I may go next Spring or possibly to Europe. My sister just moved to Hong Kong today. It's pretty exciting but unfortunately I may not get to see her for at least a year. I've asked her to start a blog to update us on her new adventure though so maybe I can share the link with you when it's up ;) That's also part of the reason why I may go to Hong Kong again in the near future. Before I do that though, I need to get my new travel site/blog more established first! I don't remember if I mentioned it here before but I am starting a new travel blog, which is going to be more business-oriented than this personal blog. I haven't had much time to work on it lately but I need to start again.

Last Thursday, my sister and I met up at Yorkdale for lunch, then a movie and dinner with my mom. I haven't been to Yorkdale in forever..I didn't know they totally renovated the Holt Renfrew there and added a bunch of new stores! It's actually pretty nice. If it wasn't so far from me I'd go more often.
