475. Condo Hunting

Here's an update on my condo hunting. I went to see a few units I liked a couple weeks ago. There's really just one building I'm interested in but for every unit there's always something wrong (the view, the layout, size, nice kitchen etc). I really want to find the perfect one but it's nearly impossible. Actually I really loved a few of the units here but the sizes are all the same or a bit smaller than my current place. & the kitchens here are all pretty small. One of the reasons I wanted to move was so I could cook more. At my current place I only have a "kitchenette" which doesn't have an oven which I want. Also I don't know if I should go for something larger. The view is really important to me as well. So a larger place with a nice view (for me, meaning high floor and view of the CN Tower) is really expensive. I think I will be ready to buy in a couple months so more units may be available by then. What I would really love is a loft. But those are always in bad far away areas. I'm pretty picky with area too lol. I really want to live closer to the harbour and not too far away from my current place because I love this area. We'll see what happens..
The photo above is taken in my favourite unit in terms of the view but the layout isn't the best. It's kind of narrow/rectangular and I'd want a more square-ish layout. There's another unit available that is my favourite which has everything I want, but it's also the most expensive. Well it's a huge corner unit with views of the lake (South), CN Tower (West), 2 bedrooms, super high floor, an actual walk-out balcony & a Juliet balcony etc. Plus the kitchen area is large enough so I could possibly renovate.

I bought these Japanese hair products last week. The brand is called Ichikami. I've never tried them before..they are amazing! They smell sooo good (apricot). The store I got them had a LOT of different brands of Japanese and Korean hair products it was hard to choose which one to get. Their packaging were all so beautiful.

474. Snow

Hi everyone! Sorry I've been such a bad blogger these days. I've been quite busy with work and life in general but mainly..nothing exciting to blog about unfortunately. I'm more active on my social media accounts if you want to follow me on those (Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat usernames are all Leftbanked). We've had such a warm snow-less winter this year here in Toronto. The first official "snowstorm" happened a few days ago. Although it wasn't much of a storm as you can see here. But I think this was the most snow we got this whole winter. Just a thin layer which melted away the next morning. I took some photos while it lasted:


I really love my view and where I live. Even after 8 years here I'm not bored of it yet. The place I want to move to also has an amazing view (you may have seen a sneak peek on my Snapchat) but I'll post more about that in another post.






I decided to make vegetable barley soup earlier this week. Actually I made two big pots and had it every day for like 5 days straight. It was pretty good I must say. I think I'll make it again this week.

473. Recent Life

Rainy day today + my Daft Punk Bearbricks. Nothing new has been happening in my life lately. I mentioned a few posts back (I think?) that I'm in the early stages of moving. I'm putting that off for a few months now until I file my taxes this year/get my tax assessment so I can figure out budget and all. I'm really not looking forward to paying it this year lol. I wish I was in the category of people who gets a cheque back during tax season rather than having to pay a huge chunk of money all at one time. But there are also many perks to having my "own business" and handling it like this. It's kind of ironic; when I was in the process of counting up my income every month in 2015, I kept wishing it was less (so I'd have to pay less in taxes) but of course I also like to make more. So stressful. The stock market is also doing quite bad at the moment which sucks because most of the money I was putting aside to pay are in stocks..so that probably wasn't a good idea lol. Ugh. Anyway enough about that - but that's basically what I've been focusing on these months.
I can't wait to get my new place and decorate though. I want to get a couple size 1000% Bearbricks (these ones in the photo above are size 400%) and a couple Gray Malin prints such as THIS ONE or THIS. Decorating will be an on-going process though because I like to only get things once I find the perfect one that I like the most. Also the style of things that I like are not that easy to find (not to mention expensive..usually). Which is why I'm starting this search early on.

Fast Fresh Foods is my current obsession. I haven't had a salad like this in years but recently I was suddenly craving a chicken caesar salad. So I went here to get one (there's always a huge lineup at their location near me so I figured it was good) and it's really good..really does taste "fresh"! I've literally had one of these every day in a row for the past maybe..5 days. You can't tell in the photo but their salads are HUGE. I get the large and get very full from it (& salad is pretty hard to get full from). Also they have a large variety of different options for you to make your own custom salad. Prior to this my obsession was IQFoodCo which I still love. So if you are in Toronto/close to the Financial District I would recommend these two places. Takeout food is all usually pretty unhealthy but I think these 2 are the best healthy options. Oh I also like McEwan's hot food bar which I mentioned in a previous post. I'm pretty extreme with my food phases though. Prior to this I had a few days of way too many cup noodles and way too much candy.



Apart from the rain today, the weather is getting better and we are having more daylight in a day!


Saks Fifth Avenue finally opened here in Toronto!
